Our annual Spring yard sales in our White Hall, Rutland, Providence and Charter Colony communities are this Saturday, May 7, 2016! Rutland and White Hall yard sales are from 8am-12pm and the Charter Colony yard sale is from 7am to 1pm, while the Providence yard sale is from 7am to 12pm. The spring yard sales are a popular event for our communities as our homeowners sell their gently-used items to other neighbors and the local community.
To help prepare for this weekend, we’ve provided some of our yard sales tips and tricks. Check them out:
- Free delivery: If you have several large items to sell, find a couple of volunteers or neighbors with trucks who wouldn’t mind delivering items for free after the sale.
- Offer free lemonade, cookies, or water: A jug of water or lemonade or delicious cookies is a nice gift for your customers. Don’t forget to hand out water for pets as well!
- Have a calculator on hand: Make sure you have a calculator with you, as it will expedite your checkout process!
- Don’t base what you sell on what you would buy: You never know if someone likes to fix broken things or is looking for materials for an art project. If it’s something you don’t want and it’s safe, put it in your garage sale.
Participating in our spring yard sales is yet another example of our philosophy that it’s how you live that matters. We actively work together to find new ways to improve the lives of those around us. That means giving back to the communities where we develop and build!
