- The History: Travel back in time to experience the earliest days of the United States by visiting Colonial Williamsburg, Historic Jamestown or Yorktown. Experience 17th-century Virginia through films, exhibitions and outdoor living history. Pretend that you’re living in the first permanent colony in the United States and even see replicas of the ships that sailed from England to Virginia in 1607!
- The Theme Parks: Spend the day riding the thrilling roller coasters, watching the entertaining shows, and even hanging out with some wild animals at Busch Gardens! Busch Gardens is fun for the whole family and has won the most beautiful theme park award for more than 20 consecutive years. Just down the road is Water Country USA, a 43-acre water park that’s the perfect place to cool off on a hot summer day.
- The Outdoor Fun: With more than 109 miles of bicycle paths throughout, it’s no surprise that outdoor living and recreation is a large part of the Williamsburg culture. Take a trip to the local Farmers Market every weekend and pick fresh apples at Bush Neck Farm. Spend the day on the water and take a kayak ride on Powhatan Creek!
- The Shopping: Williamsburg has some of the best shopping in Virginia. With the Premium Outlets, New Town, Merchants Square, and more, there are plenty of places to shop for unique one-of-a-kind items and at larger department stores as well.
