Valentine's DayLove is in the air! As Valentine’s Day fast approaches, it’s the perfect time of year to show the ones you love how much they mean to you. We believe it’s how you live that matters. What’s more important than spending time with those you care about most?

We’re here to help you find the best Valentine’s activities for the whole family! Check out our favorite three events below:

  • The Love Tour: The historic Maymont estate is known for its beauty and famous love stories. On February 11th and 12th, you can be transported to Victorian era and learn about love during that romantic time. Plus, if the weather is nice, you can enjoy a stroll through the Italian and Japanese Gardens or stop by the Children’s Farm. More information is available on Maymont’s website.
  • Special Valentine Craft: The Ashland Branch Library in Hanover County is celebrating Valentine’s Day a few days early with a special craft. Join the library from 2 – 4pm on February 11th to make a sweet Valentine’s Day tote bag. There also will be special treats! More information is online.
  • Love in Merchants Square: Back by popular demand, Merchants Square in Williamsburg is hosting its special LOVE contest. Take your photo with the Virginia LOVE sign between February 10th – 20th and you can be entered to win a $200 gift certificate. Since you’re at Merchants Square, take some time to enjoy the beautiful and quaint shopping district in the heart of Williamsburg.

The best part about each of these events? They’re so close to our communities in Richmond, Virginia and Williamsburg, Virginia. We hope you enjoy the Valentine’s Day holiday.   We would love to hear your plans, so share them with us on our Facebook page.
