Spring is here, which also means it’s time for spring cleaning again. Months of fireplaces, muddy paw prints, and little fresh air can leave homes feeling in need of a good clean. But it doesn’t have to be a major hassle. So let’s open the windows, gather the cleaning supplies, and roll up our sleeves up for some spring cleaning.

Country Living Magazine compiled a great list of tips to keep us on track. It’s worth taking a look at before you get started! Some of the highlights:

  • Vacuum when it’s sunny: Vacuuming in good natural light helps you see dirt better and can help you avoid missing spots.
  • Wash windows when it’s cloudy: If direct sunlight is hitting your window, the heat will dry the cleaner and promote streaking. Wait until it’s cloudy to do the windows so you won’t have to fight the sun.
  • Replace the batteries: Anything that runs on batteries should be checked, everything from wall clocks to remote controls. And, of course, use this chance to check all your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

We hope you found this helpful. Good luck and happy spring cleaning!
