Spooky Treats for Halloween!

Halloween is all about having fun and thinking outside-of-the-box when it comes to party decorations and snacks for your guests. At HHHunt Communities, we believe that it’s how you live that matters! Getting into the Halloween spirit by creating cherished memories with friends and neighbors is such a special time at all of our communities. What better way to celebrate Halloween than by making spooky snacks? We love these three treats because they’re simple to make and they’re fun! Check out the recipes:

Mummy Dogs

  • 1 (11 oz.) can refrigerated bread stick dough
  • 12 bun-length hot dogs
  • Vegetable cooking spray

Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Step 2: Unroll bread stick dough and cut into 12 thin strips.

Step 3: Spray a baking pan with non-stick vegetable cooking spray.

Step 4: Wrap a thin strip of bread stick dough around each hot dog. Make sure to leave space so that the entire hot dog is not covered.

Step 5: Place the hot dogs in the oven and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.

Strawberry Ghosts

  • 1 package of Vanilla coating
  • 24 strawberries
  • Mini chocolate chips

Step 1: Melt the vanilla coating in a tray.

Step 2: Place a piece of parchment paper on a flat surface.

Step 3: Dip the strawberries in the melted vanilla coating. Has some excess coating drip off the strawberries to make the “tail” of the ghost. Set the strawberries on the wax paper to dry.

Step 4: Place two mini chocolate chips as the eyes and one as the mouth.

Witch Hat Cookies

  • 1 package of Keebler Fudge Stripes Cookies
  • 1 bag of Hershey’s Chocolate Kisses
  • Orange decorate icing

Step 1: Turn Keebler Fudge Stripes Cookies upside down on a platter so that chocolate side is facing up.

Step 2: Unwrap Hershey Kisses and apply orange icing around the edge of the chocolate.

Step 3: Place Hershey Kiss with icing on center of Fudge Stripes cookie.

We hope you have a blast this Halloween around your HHHunt community, and remember to show us how you live this fall by sharing photos in our Fall Photo Contest!
