Last Minute Holiday Recipe Tips!

Why not spend time with loved ones by making these festive treats in preparation for your holiday party? Both recipes are simple to make and will definitely put you in the holiday spirit.

Individual Potato Gratins

Ingredients

  • Vegetable spray
  • 2 large russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • ½ cup grated Swiss cheese
  • 2 green onion, finely chopped
  • Salt and ground black pepper
  • ¾ cup heavy cream

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Spray 8 muffin tins with vegetable spray. Layer potato slices, cheese, onions into each muffin cup. Season with salt and pepper and top each gratin with 1 or 2 tablespoons of heavy cream. Cover with foil and bake for 30-40 minutes, removing foil halfway through cooking time. Invert gratins onto plate and serve. Enjoy!

Chocolatey Fudge Wreath

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 oz.) bag semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3 cups butterscotch chips
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup walnut halves
  • ½ cup currants
  • 8 inch cake pan, lightly greased
  • Candied cherries, red and green, for garnish

Directions

Place a pot on the stove and preheat over low heat. Add chips and milk and stir until chips are melted and milk is combined. Save the empty milk can. Stir in vanilla and remove fudge from heat. Add nuts and currants and stir in immediately.

Cover empty condensed milk can with plastic food wrap and center in the greased cake pan. Spoon fudge into pan around can.

Decorate wreath with the garnish. Chill covered in the fridge and slice fudge very thin when ready to serve. Enjoy!
