Last-Minute Holiday Party Tips!

Last-Minute Holiday Party Tips!

The holidays can be a fun and joyous season, in no small part thanks to lots of great holiday parties. We love all the festive decorations and tasty treats. Let’s be honest, though, because planning a holiday party can be stressful. It’s great to gather with friends, neighbors, and loved ones, but pulling together the food and décor can take some work.

If you’re planning a holiday party in the next few weeks, we’re here to help! Here are three tips to simplify the process and make it more enjoyable:

  • Winter Arrangements: Don’t fuss over intricate centerpieces or expensive floral arrangements. We love this approach from Martha Stewart when it comes to simple, yet sophisticated winter floral arrangements. Use white vases and fill with white spider mums or seeded eucalyptus.
  • Set the Mood: The easiest and best way to set the mood is with classic holiday tunes. Pull out those holiday CDs or set your TV to the seasonal music channel to create a festive and welcoming environment. This idea is one of eight last-minute hosting tips from Elle Décor. Our favorite is “don’t overthink it.”
  • Fast Food: If you’re hosting a holiday party and need to whip up some tasty treats fast, Food Network has you covered. They’ve got great ideas for dips using what’s in your pantry and a fun way to spice up popcorn and make it special. The best part? These hacks are fast and easy!

We’re in the holiday spirit, so here are a few bonus tips! If you’re still considering menu items for your holiday party, we’ve got two great recipes from a 2015 blog post that are sure to be crowd pleasers. Also, consider using ornaments in unexpected ways, such as part of a place setting.

We believe it’s how you live that matters and holiday gatherings should be something we look forward to and not fret about. Hopefully these holiday hacks help. Feel free to share your holiday party tips with us on Facebook. We’d love to see them.

Happy Holidays!
