One of the best things about this season is getting to enjoy all of the amenities and outdoor spaces at our communities. Why not host a summer picnic for your friends, family, and neighbors? What a great way to make memories, get outside, soak up some sun, and have fun with loved ones.
Picnic food should be all about summer favorites like fresh fruits, sandwiches, and a tasty pie. Summer is full of fabulous food and we had to share three of our favorite picnic recipes:
- Fresh Salsa: Salsa is one of the simplest dishes to make and it’s easy to store in containers. Picnic food is all about simplicity and being mess-free; luckily, salsa is just that! Try making this salsa from Simply Recipes and let us know what you think!
- Gourmet Turkey Sandwich: Spice up your normal turkey sandwich by adding fresh veggies on top, like peppers and onions from the garden. Wrap up your sandwich in plastic wrap and tie a fun and colorful ribbon around it! Real Simple has a list of 12 creative turkey sandwiches that you should try!
- Peach Cobbler: Impress all of your friends and family by serving homemade peach cobbler at your picnic. Top it off with vanilla ice cream. Sounds like the perfect way to end a picnic to us!
Find time this summer to dine alfresco and make some fabulous picnic memories. Remember, it’s how you live that matters! We hope you have lots of fun enjoying delicious meals with friends, family, and neighbors.
