HHHunt Partners with Hanover Habitat for Blitz Build

Blitz BuildHHHunt is committed to working in the communities we serve to improve them for everyone. We’re excited to announce our partnership with Hanover Habitat for Humanity to build a home in 30 days in the first-ever Habitat subdivision in Hanover County, Virginia. We’re working in collaboration with a number of vendor partners to build the house as well as plan and develop the community’s entrance, including signage and landscaping.

The neighborhood, named Bailey Woods, will include eight new homes and an existing home that will be renovated. HHHunt will blitz build a home in 30 days. It’s a daunting task, but something your team can do! Groundbreaking for the home was last week and work is expected to begin on the home the week of March 24th with completion scheduled 30 days later.

This is an incredible opportunity for us to partner with Hanover Habitat for Humanity and provide a new home for a deserving family,” said Daniel T. Schmitt, President and Chief Operating Officer of HHHunt. “HHHunt has been very active in Hanover County and we’re honored to build a home in the first-ever Habitat neighborhood.”

The new home is a tremendous gift for a very deserving family, the Hunsaker family. Katharine Hunsaker, an assistant controller with Rink Management in Mechanicsville, is a single mother of eight children including three who currently live at home, plus two Marines, a nurse, a server and a college student who live on their own.

This partnership represents a significant commitment from HHHunt, as well as its vendor partners. The company and its employees give back to local communities in a variety of ways and this is just another way that HHHunt makes a difference in the lives of others. We believe that serving as a strong community partner is important and we’re committed to being a leader in community service. Stay tuned to the blog for updates on the build and lots of great pictures!
