We have a lot of fun during the Fall in our communities. There is so much excitement in the air with tons of great activities, like our Fall Festival and Halloween decorating/pumpkin carving contest! As we get closer to the holiday season and the temperatures start to drop, now is also a great time to start looking towards those winter months and preparing your home for colder temperatures.
Our homeowners have such beautiful homes and there are a lot of helpful tips to help your prepare your home for colder weather which will save you time and money. Here are a few of our favorites from Kiplinger:
1. Make sure your gutters are clear of leaves and other debris.
2. Be sure to turn off all exterior faucets for garden hoses and sprinklers.
3. Mulch leaves instead of raking them. They provide natural nourishment to lawns during the winter.
4. Stock up on winter essentials such as salt or ice melt in case of snow.
You can see a complete list of tips here. We hope that you find these helpful as the days start getting a little chillier.
