Summer is right around the corner! Have you made all your plans? We believe it’s how you live that matters, and want to help you get the most out of this season. To keep the fun going all summer long in Williamsburg, we compiled a list of the region’s best events.
Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival (May 25 – July 1): Busch Gardens isn’t just home to rollercoasters and rides. You can explore over 60 different food items and 35 wines that are typically not served at the theme park. Your inner foodie can partake in the festivities every weekend through July 1!
Summer Breeze Concert Series (June 6 – September 19): What’s better than an outdoor concert? One that happens every week! The Summer Breeze Concert Series takes place every Wednesday on the art museum lawns in Colonial Williamsburg. The lineup that’s sure to please all music lover includes genres like jazz, blues, bluegrass, reggae, and more.
Independence Day at Colonial Williamsburg (July 4): There’s no better place to celebrate our nation’s birth than Colonial Williamsburg. Fourth of July is packed with entertaining and educational activities such as a reading of Declaration of Independence and special militia muster salutes to the original 13 states. An incredible Lights of Freedom fireworks display will wow attendees at the end of the night.
Butterfly Festival (August 4-5): The 4th Annual Butterfly Festival will excite people of all ages. At this event, you can walk through two tents for a chance to be surrounded by the beauty of over 300 live butterflies! This free festival at the Williamsburg Botanical Garden at Freedom Park will also include children’s crafts and knowledgeable experts.
Movies Under the Stars (August 31): Want to take advantage of a cool summer night? Grab a lawn chair, blankets, snacks, and relax as you’ll watch “Moana” under the stars. The movie screening begins at 8:30 pm and all ages are welcome!
