History
The concept of a master-planned community can be traced back to the 1960s. In the early days, master-planned communities were carved out of land on the outskirts of cities. It was not until the 1980s that amenities started getting introduced. In fact, HHHunt Communities was one of the first pioneers of the master-planned community concept with Wellesley and eventually Wyndham. These expansive, amenity-rich communities provided homeowners with a strong social network of neighbors and a team of dedicated professionals to manage the day-to-day operations.
Providing World-Class Amenities
HHHunt Communities continued to refine its master-planned communities as homeowners’ preferences evolved. With new projects such as Twin Hickory, Rutland, and Charter Colony, health and wellness became a central theme. HHHunt Communities started offering more walking trails, lighted pedestrian corridors, tennis and basketball courts, pools and other world-class amenities that promoted well-being and socialization among neighbors.
HHHunt Communities also developed a partnership with the YMCA of Greater Richmond resulting in new YMCA locations opening within several communities. Homeowners would now have access to a wealth of wellness resources within walking distance.
Social Events that Promote New Friendships
A central theme for all HHHunt Communities is the importance of neighbor socialization. A neighborhood is more than just a place to live. It should be a retreat where homeowners can meet new people and develop life-long friendships. As part of that theme, each community has a dedicated team of professionals to help homeowners design and implement a variety of exciting events and activities. From National Night Out parties to Cookies with Santa, creating fun and meaningful memories for our homeowners is at the heart of what we do.
As River Mill, Wescott, Mosaic at West Creek, and Rutland Grove begin welcoming homeowners, we’re kicking it up a notch! Community Management
Running a master-planned community is complex, especially when you want to ensure the community’s amenities, character and open spaces stay well-maintained. HHHunt Communities created Genesis Community Management to provide our homeowners with the best and brightest professionals who can maintain our homeowner associations’ financial administration and records, manage service contracts, supervise committees, plan lifestyle events, organize annual meetings and board meetings, and ensure the observance of covenants. This provides homeowners access through Genesis Community Management to the development team long after the community is completed. It’s what makes us unique and is part of HHHunt’s philosophy.
