Springtime brings warmer weather, fresh flowers, and a lot more trips to the farmers’ market! Our communities in Virginia and North Carolina are fortunate to be located close to lots of great local farms and now is the perfect time to break out some delicious spring recipes. What’s even better is that these spring recipes are not only tasty, they are healthy too!
Here’s three of our favorite Spring dishes you’ll be sure to love:
- Blueberry-Oatmeal Cakes: Blueberries are one of our favorite fruits and these blueberry-oatmeal cakes from Eating Well magazine are incredible. We just discovered them and can’t get enough. They taste so good you won’t even realize that they’re low calorie, heart healthy, and gluten-free. Plus, they’re great for breakfast or dessert!
- Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Orange-Sesame Asparagus and Rice: One of our favorite parts of Spring is that grilling season is back. A constant winner when it comes to grilling is this pork recipe with asparagus and rice from Cooking Light It’s a hit with everyone and brings a ton of flavor to the dinner table. Yum!
- Top Spring Dishes: So, this last “recipe” is a bit of a cheat because we couldn’t just pick one more. The Food Network has collected its top recipes for Spring entertaining and you can’t go wrong with any of them! We especially love the spring pasta salad and perfect spinach salad.
From breakfast to dinner and salads to sides, these mouth-watering dishes will make Spring even more wonderful. We believe it’s how you live that matters and fresh, healthy food is an important part of a happy life.
